THE FAMILY

Jean VICARD

Jean joined the family business in 1948 and was awarded the title of Best Workman in France in 1965. He took over from his father at the helm of the company in 1977.

Under his influence the enterprise took on a new dimension, increasing, diversifying and exporting its production.  He delegated directorship of the Vicard Group to his two sons in 2002.

The founder of the Cooperage School in Cognac, he still enthusiastically shares his longstanding experience and encyclopaedic knowledge of the business with up-and-coming coopers.

Jean-Charles VICARD

An early starter in cooperage, he benefited from a sound education in the business from his peers when he was young.

Now Chairman and Technical Director of SAS Tonnellerie, he has been at the origin of a great many innovations such as the regulated heating system and the slot-saw assembly technique, of which he owns the patent.

A former professional rugby player, as a high-level sportsman for ten years he was instilled with a sense of commitment, team spirit and a taste for a challenge.

Jean-Louis VICARD

After his studies at Montpellier Business School, he joined the company in 1994.

He was at the origin of the launch of the new sales policy based on the selection of wood by grain type (very fine, fine, mid-fine, open).

He shares the challenge of satisfying our clients on a permanent basis with his brother and the entire Vicard team.
