Control and analyzes of wood

To ensure the health of its products, Vicard Cooperage set up a plan of rigorous and precise control of wood HaloAnisoles and HaloPhénols compounds (HAHP):TCA, TeCA, PCA, TCP, TeCP, PCP, TBA, TBP.
These analyses are exclusively carried out by Laboratories taking part in the Technical Commission of the French federation of Cooperage (www.tonneliersdefrance.fr), according to " The Guide of good practices with Use of Cooperage".

Stages of the plan of control :

Control of our Sawmills :
The 3 Sawmills of Vicard Group respect the same specifications which determines a design of the buildings, a choice and a use of equipment ensuring an optimal public health.
A control by sampling is carried out on the production of each internal Sawmill.

Control of gross woods (stave woods, square edged timber and unedged timber):
Each batch of wood from an external supplier, stored on a place aside, is the subject of a systematic analysis. Any analysis not-in conformity involves a refusal of the batch.

Control the water used in manufacture (leaking test and steam bending):
This analysis is entrusted to an independent laboratory. It is carried out in accordance with the program of taking away and analyses of the sanitary control of the water used in an alimentary Company.

Control of the end product :
An analysis of the finished product can be also carried out from the customer request.

Control of production buildings (internal Sawmills included):
An annual analysis of their atmosphere in HaloAnisoles and HaloPhénols compounds is carried out.

Control of containers:
Each container is checked before the loading. This control is carried out according to precise specifications. Any container not-in conformity is automatically refused.
